On Mar. 29, 2010, the appraisal meeting of Research Report on the Development Plan of Urban Scale Application of Photovoltaic Generation (PV) in Hohhot was hold by Inner Mongolia development and reform Commission. As arranged by the State Administration of Energy, the U.S. Energy Foundation provided the fund, Institute of Electrical Engineering, CAS, Hohhot Economic & Social Development Research Center and Inner Mongolian Electric Power Science Research Institute set up a research group and, after a year’s joint effort, completed this research report.

According to the Scientific Development View, this report analyzed and proved the feasibility, necessity and advantages of large scale urban PV development in Hohhot as a demonstration city, constituted the development plan and target of three types PV generation project in Hohhot, with local resource advantage and development requirement, by borrowing experiences outside China, drafted out the mechanism, code, standard and other related incentive policies concerning urban grid-connection photovoltaic application that are specific to China’s conditions by borrowing experiences outside China, gave the advice that the Grid company as the general manager to promote the urban PV application by feed-in-tariff which has initiative and demonstration, and advanced some improvement policies for guaranteeing the PV development in Hohhot.
This research report was accredited by evaluation experts. It will pay a reference and demonstration role in urban PV application by successful implement this plan.
