On Mar. 19, 2010, the opening ceremony of Solar Thermal Power Engineering Research Center (STPERC) between Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) and China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation (CPECC) was held in No. 2 boardroom in CPECC.
In the ceremony, IEE and CPECC express that it is important and extremely necessary to continue all-round and in-depth cooperation timely. STPERC will launch extensive R&D work in project design, optimization and improvement of solar thermal power technology. The two sides will give full play together to their strengths and promote the whole industry progress.
Since 2008, CPECC and IEE have kept close contact and carried out R&D cooperation in the preliminary design of power plant, thermal storage system design and solar thermal power generation technology.
In the future, STPERC will assume many tasks in standard formulation, technology application and popularization, technical support and so on. And then, both sides wish STPERC will achieve much progress in concentrating solar power technology.
