Notice of
Evaluation of Solar Tower Design has been finished. By Feb. 16, 2008, the organizer had received 15 effective designs, of which 9 works from abroad and 6 from China.
The Evaluation committee of this competition was composed of experts, who are well-known in the fields of solar energy, power, thermodynamic, architecture and so on, 11 of them from China and 5 from foreign countries. The score is in centesimal number. The foreign experts marked those works according to the evaluation details and then feedbacked their marks any opinions by emails. The Chinese experts made a joint checkup on the works and gave their scores anonymously in the institute on Feb. 26, 2008. After summed up marks from Chinese and foreign experts, with the highest and lowest marks removed, the organizer numbered works according to the final average scores.
According to the Solar Tower Design Competition bulletin, this activity will select 1 first-prize winner (￥30,000), 2 second-prize winners (￥20,000 each), 3 third-prize winners (￥5,000 each) and 6 excellent awards (￥1,000 each). Time for awards presentation will be announced in further notice.
